Man pleads guilty to murder charges in death of Louisiana woman

A 19-year-old man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, bringing to a close a case involving the death of an 18-year-old Louisiana woman. The 18-year-old woman was living in Louisiana with her Air Force husband at the time of her death, which occurred in New York. The woman's body was found near a bridge in Rockville Center.

According to recent reports, a federal investigation resulted in the largest seizure of methamphetamine ever conducted by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office. Sheriff's deputies participated in serving the federal search warrants against nine men, who were later indicted by a federal grand jury.

Louisiana man facing murder charge

A 34-year-old man was indicted for a murder charge on April 13. A grand jury in Bossier Parish indicted the Shreveport man for the murder of a 33-year-old woman from Haughton. The woman's dead body was discovered in a truck that was parked in a Haughton pasture on March 15.

Football fans in Louisiana might be interested to learn about charges that were recently filed against former New York Giants cornerback Will Allen. On April 6, a Boston federal court revealed that the Securities and Exchange Commission had filed a complaint against Allen. Federal regulators believe that Allen and a co-defendant used fraud to operate a Ponzi scheme between July 2012 and February 2015.
