Man arrested for homicides from the 90s in Baton Rouge

Murders and homicides are terrifying for those nearest to them, and it's expected that the person responsible is required to pay for their actions. However, law enforcement, along with other members of the public, know that it's easy to manipulate stories or make a person look like a monster, even when a murder was committed as defense. With those kinds of things in mind, if you're charged with a murder, representation by an experienced criminal defense attorney is a must. Protecting your name and reputation while preventing facts from becoming skewed or biased is one way you can help yourself.

According to a recent report from Dec. 10, a man has been arrested in relation to murders that took place in the 90s. The news states that it was sometime in the night when the gunshots went off on Jan. 4, 1995, and two people, 22 and 23, were killed on Florida Blvd. Amazingly, the 11-month-old girl at the apartment survived the bullet that hit her, and she is now a healthy 19-year-old woman. She was part of an incident that took the life of her aunt and her aunt's boyfriend, and she's been known as the "miracle baby" ever since.

The 19-year-old woman will now be faced with knowing about the assailant. She previously thought they were all dead. The 39-year-old man was arrested in conjunction with the murder on Monday, Dec. 9, due to new witness statements and evidence.

In events like these that happened long ago, no one will likely ever know what really happened, but it's important not to let yourself become dehumanized. The media has a way of making people out to be victims or monsters when they aren't, and the right legal help can keep you as you are, without bias.
