In a recent post, we wrote about two men who were arrested in Louisiana on murder charges. When we wrote the article last week, there was very little information available to the media.
Now, more information has been released, and the details leading up to the murder charges are becoming available to the public.
The two men who are facing charges – Bradley and Tyler – knew the women who were injured and killed. Tyler was living with the mother and daughter, and he had an on-again, off-again relationship with the daughter.
Police suspect that before the alleged murder, the men stole cash from the women. It is unclear when the alleged murder and beating happened. However, when it was finished, they stole the mother’s car and fled the scene.
When police began following the stolen car, murder charges were the last thing on their minds. According to the police, the car had an improperly displayed license tag. Nervous, the two men did not stop, and the police chased them for 12 miles.
According to the police reports, the men threw drugs out the window during the chase. It is not yet clear whether the drugs were theirs or whether they belonged to the owner of the car.
If the men are charged for murder, they could face a variety of consequences, including jail time, fines and a damaged criminal record. In that case, it may be to the advantage of the men to work with a criminal defense attorney who can review the information in the case and determine whether there is evidence that could be used against them. It is not known whether the men knew their rights before they talked to the police.
