Being accused of sex offenses can seriously impact your life, which is why you need to defend yourself as soon as you learn about the accusations. You could lose your job, have trouble with your family or have difficulty fitting into your normal social circles. In a case from May 7 that you may have heard about, a man has been charged with sex offenses against children. When he found out about these charges, he allegedly turned himself in to the police in Louisiana.

Who is he and what has he done? The 40-year-old man is best known for being an Elvis Presley impersonator. His impersonating days may be over, though, if he can’t explain what has happened to result in the accusations of these sex crimes against minors. At the time of the report, the man was reportedly facing 18 counts of sex crimes.

According to the story, he has been charged with 18 counts of sex crimes for crimes that took place with at least one person under the age of 18. He travels all around the United States, so it’s not clear where the accusation is based. In another report from WAFB, the man was reportedly charged with eight counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and 10 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The man allegedly turned himself in to authorities when he discovered that they had a warrant issued for his arrest. He had recently been hired full-time to perform as Elvis at the world famous Rock N’ Roll Cafe in Memphis, making these charges dangerous for his career and ongoing performances. The news reports that bond has not yet been set for the man.
