Baton Rouge resident arrested for murder of rapper

Murder is not a crime that is tolerated by Baton Rouge residents. Those who are arrested for murder can face an uphill battle in the court system. Murder is arguably the "worst" crime and one that can lead to decades in prison or even the death penalty.

A Baton Rouge man was recently arrested for the murder of an up-and-coming 18-year-old rapper. Police say the defendant and an accomplice allegedly confronted the victim on Nebraska Avenue. back in November and shot him, inflicting lethal wounds. The person the defendant was allegedly with was arrested at the end of March. The defendant was arrested for second-degree murder. Gunfire and other shootings followed the death of the rapper and were deemed retaliatory.

When a person finds themselves under arrest for murder, they can feel like the whole world is against them. The media quickly latches on to any murder report and arrests are covered in the newspaper and on TV. A person's good reputation can be shattered by media reports. A legal professional who is skilled in criminal defense can help their client tell their side of the story. The can provide knowledgeable legal advice for people who are facing murder or other violent crimes charges. They understand how the prosecution works and what is important in creating a strong defense.

There are no second chances when it comes to defending someone against a murder charge. These are serious charges that can lead to a lifetime in prison or even the death penalty. A person should not take chances if they have been arrested for murder because a criminal conviction could be life-altering.
